What to Do When Your Kids Need to Burn Off Energy

You know that moment when your kids have been stuck inside for way too long and they’re basically turning into tiny tornadoes? Sometimes the best thing you can do is just get them out of the house and take them somewhere they can go completely nuts without you worrying about broken furniture. Even something as simple as learning TikTok dances or making up their own moves gets them moving their whole bodies and forgetting they’re stuck inside.

Nothing beats outdoor time for really draining that excess energy, but it has to be the right kind of outdoor time. Just sitting in the backyard won’t cut it – kids need activities that get their hearts pumping and their bodies working. Bike rides, playground visits, or even just running around playing tag in the yard can completely change their mood and energy level in like 30 minutes.
